The speed boat ride to Koh Samet was quite bumpy. It was totally enjoyable and the fastest way to arrive at the island.
Getting there
Aside from taking a speed boat which is a little costly if you travel alone, one can also take the boat going to the island. Schedules are posted at the wharf in Rayong.
Most vacationing tourists, both locals and foreign, come to Koh Samet for its white sandy beach. There are several beach locations you can choose in the island so better decide at the wharf which area you want to go to so you can inform the boat man ahead of time.
